Our Team
Neil Henderson
Neil is a professional golfer who has played on both the Challenge and EuroPro tours. Neil graduated with a BSC in Geography at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia where he was on a golf scholarship. He started working full time at Golf Finance in July 2020, taking on the reins from his father Ian. Neil’s drive is to take the business forward, reaching out to new clients and looking at ways to continue to improve and develop existing relationships. Alongside working at Golf Finance, Neil will continue to play tournament golf and enjoy travelling.

Malcolm Pennycott
Originally from the Isle of Arran, Malcolm, a close family friend, became part of the team in August 2021. Holding an honours degree in Business Management from Heriot-Watt University, and with several years of experience in the golf industry, he has developed a strong foundation in both customer service and industry-specific business practices. At Golf Finance, Malcolm’s role focuses on crafting strategic marketing plans, fostering business growth, and building lasting client relationships. A keen golfer with a plus-two handicap, he reached the quarterfinals of the Scottish Men’s Amateur in 2016.

Alyssa Henderson
A recent addition to the team, Alyssa has joined Golf Finance after working in the golf industry for over 9 years. She gained her Business Management degree from Newman University in Wichita, Kansas where she attended on a golf scholarship. She continues to play golf on a regular basis, currently holding a handicap of 5 and is the current East Lothian County Champion for the 2nd year running. At Golf Finance, she supports office management and works closely with our clients to help them find suitable finance options – all while taking on the challenging task of keeping Neil, Malcolm, and Taylor in line.

Taylor Edwards
Another new addition to the team, Taylor comes from Lochmaben in Dumfries and Galloway, and has worked in the finance sector since 2018. Taylor specialises in our commercial finance offerings which include sectors such as haulage, agriculture, forestry and construction. Taylor works very much in a face to face manner with all customers to give the best service possible at all times. He is also an avid golfer playing off a handicap of 4 and is a keen musician, having been a Grade One bagpiper with the world famous Shotts & Dykehead Caledonia Pipe Band.

Ian Henderson
The former managing director of Golf Finance, Ian founded the business in 2000 when he saw a gap in the market for top level asset finance for golf clubs. Ever since that day the company has worked hard to provide a top level service offering competitive rates. Ian now works with Golf Finance on a consultancy basis. In his spare time Ian enjoys golfing at Renaissance and generally tinkering with his extensive motorbike collection. Most of his jokes are from the early Jurassic period.

Christine Robertson

Christine has worked with Golf Finance for many years and is responsible for keeping essential parts of the business running smoothly behind the scenes. Golf Finance would not be where it is today without her! When asked what her role with the company is, Christine’s frank response is ‘tedious back office stuff that no one else wants to do.’ Christine is happiest when in a field surrounded by bikes and friends and especially when listening to live music.
